Supples is delighted to present the upcoming exhibition, Unfiltered | Nobuyoshi Araki, on view at our Bangkok gallery from October 21st - November 19th 2023.

Unfiltered is a solo show of original works by the Japanese post-war photographer, Nobuyoshi Araki. Featuring a selection of works, mainly on Polaroid, this exhibition highlights the obsessive and spontaneous nature of one of the most exciting photographers of the modern era.

Araki’s use of Polaroid photography, which has become a signature of his artistic expression, emphasises the desire for immediacy and candidness in his work. Often cutting, splicing or applying paint to his films, he seamlessly blends the erotic and the mundane. Araki’s work challenges convention and has opened dialogues around sexuality, love, human connection and death.
